Day 4, Cycle 1

Hey there Sparklers. Wow it's been a while since I blogged, and I've missed it. SO much has happened in the 7 weeks since I've blogged. I went to Ghana for 4 weeks, and for 3 weeks before that I was crazy hectic at work trying to close things off before I went away. Spent a lot of time travelling to clients outside of London whilst trying to prepare for my trip, so didn’t have much time to catch up with all my Spark friends. Sorry y'all!
Ghana was AMAZING! It always is. It just felt so great to not have to set an alarm every day, to wake up to beautiful weather every day, and to chill with my family and friends. It was so relaxing and chilled and lovely. Did I stick to my low carb plan? Errrr, unfortunately not! My bad. But I was on holiday, forgive me! lol I did however workout LOADS. I ran 3 or 4 miles a few times a week, plus I took Jillian's 30 Day Shred DVD out there with me and did that a couple of times a week. My little cousins even joined me for some of them, bless em. The exercise wasn't enough to make me lose weight, seeing as I was eating without abandoned haha But it did stop me getting too out of control.
Anyway, I got back to London last week Wednesday, and Saturday was my 10K run. I hadn’t trained as much as I usually would have, so I was SO nervous. I was doing it with my best mate Ash, and we raised money for the British Heart Foundation. He set a target to do his in 45 minutes, and I set mine at 1 hour 10 minutes. The course was MUCH hillier than we expected. I was absolutely shattered. BUT I hit my all time personal best of 1:01:33! I could believe it. That's a steady 10minutes per mile pace, which I've never been able to maintain for that long. Ash completed his in 52 minutes. Which was still fab. We're going to do another one of the 5th October, and do more fundraising for the British Heart Foundation. I'm going to try and get my time under an hour. Ah that'd be GREAT for me. This is us on the day:
So anyway, I'm right back onto low carbing. I've totally missed how great I feel on it. It's Day 4 and already I'm feeling so much lighter, perkier, and healthier. Going straight back to my 21-day cycles, since it worked amazingly for me when I did it before Ghana.
I promise to catch up on everyone's blogs and progress as the weeks go. Let's finish out the year strong.
