"consistent ... 1 [Rare] holding together; firm; solid [consistent will] 2 in agreement or harmony; in accord; compatible [deeds not consistent with his words] 3 agreement with what has already been done or expressed; conformity with previous practice"
In my quest to kick Polly Perfectionist to the curb, my strongest tool is to be and to prize being consistent in my training, my nutrition, and my motivational reminders.
Even following a lapse (as we all encounter)... the return to consistent behavior (conformity with previous practice)... is key. Not a swing to an extreme. A return to the consistent.
Today's task, each day's task, is to be consistent: actions and decisions in agreement with our stated purpose, to live healthy, to hold firm. For by the little things we do today, a consistent pattern is built. Consistent nutrition. Consistent training. Consistent self-care.
And from that consistent action comes the strength and healthy life that we desire, building one day at a time!
LIFE is good. Spark on.
