Remind Myself To Eat Slow

After reading a blog. LETHA wrote made my stop and think of how I eat. At 4:30 am eating slow is no problem. The rest of the day is a question.
Do I really know what I am eating?
What did it taste like?
Was it in my calorie range?
How many things do I have to take off my menu for today to make up for it?
Was it worth it?
Point is I need to slow down, and take time to enjoy what I am eating.
When our youngest grandson was 3 he would stop eating and come over to me when we were eating. He would put his hands on my cheeks when I hand food in my mouth and push my cheeks. Then he would say "CHEW, CHEW, CHEW ,SWALLOW"
His mother would yell at him. I said he was ok, but didn't under stand until now why he did it.
Every time I sit down to eat I will remind myself what my grandson told me.
