I hate to admit, I am a touch sore today!

A little late today, they gave me a break on the first day back and hit me good with work this morning. Lol

Ah last night felt great! I went to the gym and put in an hour on the recumbent bike. I had planned to start back and just do a steady cardio workout. But I forgot my HRM strap and so set the bike up for manual mode and was looking for a nice pace and nice level to remind my body I am not done working it yet. Yes it had a few days off but that was just a rest break.

I ended up with a harder workout than I have done in awhile. I started nice and easy and started increasing the tension every minute. Got to level 15 for a minute then back right back down to 5. Then I climbed the ladder again this time in 2 minute increments until I did 2 minutes on level 16. Then back down to 5. Then jumped 2 levels every 2 minutes back to level 15. I hate to admit it, but I am a touch sore today! Makes me wonder if I have just been spinning my wheels and not pushing hard enough lately.

Hmmm, so tonight will be a walking night. Too much kids stuff to make it to the gym for a good workout so I will walk/jog with the pup. She does love her walks. Not sure she is as keen on the jogging as I am simply since she loves to sniff. Lol

Well, mainly just a quick update. And to reinforce to myself to focus back on what I am doing and working toward. A better and more in shape me!

You need to go on vacation more often....I actually got my 1000 minutes in before you this month. And that has never happened! LOL If you ever have the opportunity to try a spin class I highly recommend it. I almost always end up pushing myself harder than I would by myself, just because of the group atmosphere. I've known the instructor for 20 I always give him dirty looks when we are going up an incline and he's telling us that no one better slack off and he laughs at me! But holy cow...between the squat challenge and the spin classes three times a legs are changing at warp speed!!! Way to get right back to it after vacation though...YOU ROCK!
