Week 3 Day 1

Monday, August 19, 2013

Ever the positive, so as not to intimidate myself into quitting, I'm calling this week 3.

Before I get down to business, just a note about what inspired me to get back to the gym and Spark People:
I was in the park and watched the badass group of military fitness folk training. They were beasts. I thought, I want to be that strong. Not physically, mentally. Tough, persevering, up for life. I loved being pushed, pushing myself when I was fit. Thanks guys; your hell inspired me!

I'm not tracking weight or calories. That's where I went wrong last time, that's why I got obsessed with the scale and put the weight back on once I'd lost it all.

This is about health and fitness. So. Exercise and good nutrition and nothing else. I'm tracking my fitness and it's going to be about fitness goals. I know nutrition, spark helped me learn that years ago so it's habit now. I know when I've eaten well and when I haven't.

I figured out from my last go around that exercise is the key, it all flows from that for me; I exercise regularly so I want to eat better, have more general motivation and energy, and things aren't as much of an effort.

So old lessons remembered, here goes I!
