Up from the weekend

I am up from the weekend. I was really active though. I went fishing for the first time with my hubby. That was such an amazing trip. We went down to the skykomish river I think? It is a river that goes through Native Indian land so you pay for a special license to fish there but the king salmons are HUGE so HUGE they break your line and practically pull you into the water more lol. The river is about2 hours from our house so up at 3:30am and fishing by 6:30 with gear on. Now did I mention this was my really first experience fishing? I didn't realize how cold it would be. I had waders on with thick socks shorts and pants then tank top long sleeve shirt and 3 sweat shirts to keep me warm. So the first lesson warmer clothes on the bottom. (: 2 lesson if I am going to do this fishing thing I MUST learn to fix my own hook when I lose the line. The fish are smart and they hide or hang out in areas hard to cast into. This means that you lose a LOT of tackle. (: My husband says I was better than my 14 year old son but I don't want to feel like I am pulling him away constantly. 3 lesson ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have a roll of TP with you. BOYS don't need it girls do! 4 lesson FOOD!!! Healthy lunch and snacks. more healthy carbs to keep you going all day. Fishing 6:30 am to 6:30 pm is a LOT of work. More nuts and I think cliff bars next time pb on low cal bread too would be good. Lesson 5 BE PREPARED Tackle needs to be pre done so when you do lose it you don't spend a tone of time fixing it. Lesson 6 HAVE FUN!! And I did. Fishing is a newer passion for my husband. I will say after catching and losing my first king salmon I can see the addition for sure. Fishing is NOT easy and is most defiantly a skill at least to catch the Kings. These men and woman know what they are doing and they were all very nice and giving me tips too. One woman told me that I was part of the river family now. HA HA So I look forward to my 2nd trip planed for this Saturday. I will be prepared with better food to eat and tackle pre done and hopefully a big king will be on my plate Saturday night(: The exciting thing is I was out in Nature burning calories and having fun (: The more active I get the easier it will be for the pound to fall off.
Fishing wasn't the only reason I was up we had a bridal shower to attend I over ate with the thoughts of we were river rafting after and I would burn some calories. I am sure i did but not enough (: I just need to get back into the mind set that I AM going to get to goal and I will sacrifice to get there because it is worth it!!! Those 5 cookies weren't worth it!!! I should have just had 1 or none!!! That is what I am going to tell myself. 1 or none is my choice. I DO NOT have the choice to over eat I am not that person. I am on path and I will succeed! (: I will hit rocks and bottom out at times like we did rafting. I may even loose some air as we did when My husband let out the air on accident after some heavy rapids but I will make down the river or path of health eating and losing weight (: I will get there (:
