Not stopping at the Belly Button!!!!

Monday, August 19, 2013

Coming off of the 14 day Phase One DASH has really given me hope!

The scale this morning was another .8 down, which brings the total for 14 days about 4.3 pounds.

While I looked at myself in the mirror this morning, I noticed my belly bulge is shrinking. Since I had my hysterectomy (2002) I've been told I will always have a hysterectomy stomach. Well, I'm going to prove them wrong. Even though I was cut from side to side, I am determined to get this "bulge" down. I want to be able to look down while standing and see all, not just stop at the belly button. I'm tired of having a crease on each side of my bulge so the crease is going away!

This past year (August 27, 2012) has been interrupted by my surgery (4 months recovery), but that will not stop me. I have until August 27 to log my one year. So far I've lost 25.3 pounds in one year. I know that is slow, but it will stay off. I would like to get to at least the 30 pound marker by the 27th, but that may be wishful thinking (it's only 4.7 more pounds...maybe I can do it!)

Documenting my thoughts has really helped ground me, keep me focused and accountable.

I appreciate your support as I whittle away at the pounds.

25.3 lbs in 1 year sounds perfect to me! Going at that pace will help ensure it does stay off. Great job! That is about the pace I am on. I am aiming for a 25 lb loss this year. You can do it!! emoticon
