Tanned, rested and ready

Had a lovely "staycation" with DW. Number 3 came home to visit. Her first since December, so it was delightful.

Friday, DW and I walked a small part of the Bartram Trail (that Berks Co. Sparkers for that one). Only a half mile out and a half mile back (notice the symmetry. Could have been awkward otherwise). It was very nice. We haven't walked even a mile together for a very long time, and it was nice to not have any noise around. She was hoping to see more critters, but those things happen as they happen. We went out for a very nice lunch full of things we normally wouldn't eat. We skipped dessert. There just wasn't room.

It was pretty much a lazy weekend after that. It was just what I needed. It was a little too much food of not quite the right kind with just a little less activity than we should have had...all right according to plan. I picked up a quick 1.5 pounds...not according to plan, but hardly unexpected, considering what the plan was. I wouldn't make a habit of it, but every now and then, it will do no harm.

DW spent the rest of the weekend perusing Spark recipes for a nice, healthy meal plan for the week. I'm really looking forward to getting those recipes into the planner. That should streamline the tracking a bit. We were planning to go cycling on Sunday and got rained out. Maybe tonight, but it's raining right now.

For today, I have a fresh battery in my pedometer and Jay and I were out nice and early (I was going to say bright, but there was no sign of the sun at 5.) If things dry up, cycling tonight. After all, I've got a pound and a half to shed again.

    I was up at 5 as well, and it was not any brighter here in DE!! Just yoga for me at that time! Heading to the Y at lunchtime for strength training, and also to see if the "big" pool is open (it was closed for maintenance last week). If so I'll be in there tomorrow!

    I bet you that is a pound and a half of water! Unless you ate just a bit less than 5000 cal extra in one weekend!
    Your friend BIGPAWSUP was on Spark Radio, I just haven't had time to listen to her interview yet, will do that when I am sorting our filing...
