My step tracking

Sunday, August 18, 2013

Last year my hubby was given a pedometer as a Christmas gift from a co-worker. This was when he was actually interested in being healthy. emoticon This has all recently changed. emoticon Oh well, that is his decision and it is not going to stop me from being healthy. I was cleaning the other day and I found it. So, I asked him if I could have it and then I took it and set it up. Well actually, I set it up before he even said I could have it. emoticon I think I chose a bad weekend to start tracking. The first day I had it I started tracking around noon and I had to work at our festival where I stood in one place for the whole time. The second time I walked around since I was the Russian princess of the day. emoticon I had more steps but no where near where I wanted to be. Today I was at another Church festival and didn't get to do all that much. I am hoping that when I get back to my regular schedule tomorrow that my numbers will be awesome.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

I've noticed that helping at things, means not much movement. Except on church clean up days! I'm going to start following you as I so want to be thinner someday. And you inspire me, your writings.

I love mine, and record my on my fitness page every night. I find it is a real incentive when I really don't want to go downstairs to the basement for the upteenth time. Now I think, hmmm how many steps will I take doing this?

You are too funny! ( set it up before asking your hubby) Russian princesses probably don't break a sweat that often anyway. emoticon I would like to get a pedometer. It would be interesting to see what my # is a challenge it. What are your goals?

I'm fairly addicted with my FitBit in counting steps but I'm learning if I get round 12K a day I'm usually okay after that. I had a pedometer before that and it was fun then as well~ Thanks for the comments on my crazy blog posts! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Super! Now you have a baseline and you can set little goals to improve! How cool is that? emoticon

When I started using mine, the first week I just kept record of my steps (actually i still write them on a calendar at night) and used it as a starting point. Then, seeing what I averaged, I challenged myself to work up to the level I wanted. Realize this goal you have in mind could be something you gradually work up to. Way to go for snatching up the pedometer~That's awesome!
