Sunny Sunday...last day of staycation.....

Sunday, August 18, 2013

Today is the last day of my staycation....I don't want to go back to work tomorrow. I have truly enjoyed my time at home. I enjoyed the long walks and long runs I was able to take. I enjoyed spending time with my family. I enjoyed staying up later than 8pm and getting up later than 5am.

My clothes are laid out for the week. My exercise bag is packed so that I can take my lunchtime walk. My lunch is packed, and we are having leftovers for dinner tomorrow night.
Planning is important to me, can you tell????

I am the only one who can do this for myself.
I make the choice of what I put in my mouth.
I make the choice to exercise daily.
I make the choice to have a positive frame of mind.
I make the choice to be healthy!

Goals for today:
~ read my mantra
~ 80 oz water
~ 12,000 steps
~ 25 flights of stairs
~ keep an open mind
~ journal every bite
~ weigh and measure food today
~ journal thoughts and feelings surrounding eating today
~ smile at least once an hour
~ learn something new and remember what I learned
~ eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal and as one snack today
~ laugh out loud today
~ focus on this lifestyle I have chosen for myself and don't sweat the small stuff

Unlike BE-THE-CHANGE, I *absolutely* DESPISE "staycations" - heck, I even despise the word! (Nasty, unpleasant story behind my view, so I won't go into all of that......)

All that having been said, I'm glad you had an enjoyable time of it - and I hope your return to work is a gentle one!
