CONTROL OR TRUST
We can’t live a life of trust if we are constantly wanting to be in control. When we want control, we aren’t letting go of what we should so God can make greater things happen. When we want control, we aren’t being still so we can put all the things out of our minds that we need to do. When we want control, we aren’t putting our trust in God knowing He will make all things right. We need to stop trying to control everything and everyone so we can simply trust in God. We need to decide today if we are going to control a situation or trust God to handle it in His way and in His time.
Psalm 37:7 “Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we struggle so much when we attempt to control. We make ourselves sick when we focus on, dwell on and cling to something or someone so strongly that we push everything and everyone else out of our lives. Help us and show us today to know how to relinquish that control over to You so we can let go, be still and trust in You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When we focus on control, we could lose focus on God.
Being able to let go is more rewarding than clinging to something or forcing someone to do what we want.
When we are still in the presence of God, we can get so much more done for Him than we try to do things ourselves.
Being in control of a situation is important but we have to be careful we aren’t too controlling that we push others away.
God wants us to be still and know how great He is and that He can help us in all things.
Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” (NLT)
