One day at a time

Saturday, August 17, 2013

Woke up a little bit late today for working out but I was still able to drag myself to the living room and put in my workout DVD. Normally I would have just rolled over and gone back to sleep as I was both tired and sore. Sore because I am changing the shape of my body one day at a time, and tired because I am nursing my son and he woke up 4 times last night! Normally he only wakes up one time at about 04:30 and I can handle that but last night was something else. He is teething so that is probably part of the problem as well.

Lets just say I am for sure looking forward to my scheduled rest day tomorrow. I can't believe I have already gotten through week one of my workout! I am going to do it this time. I am super happy because my husband has been joining me for my morning workouts daily now. He has been saying that he was tired of being at his current weight of 190 (psh at this time I would LOVE to be 190 since I am 217 lbs!!) so I told him he was welcome to work out with me and he has been. He wants to be about 165-170 which is a weight he feels comfortable at and being that he is 5' 6" that is a good weight for him. I am 5'4" and am much more comfortable at 130-140 so I have further to go than him but I am certain I will get there this time.

I need to get better at planning my meals. I do fairly well with breakfast and lunch but dinner is hard especially since my husband leaves for night school at 17:00 M-Th and getting dinner ready before he has to leave has been rather difficult. I hate ordering out but sometimes it is just the easiest thing and I need to make it so that I can just stick something in the oven or the crockpot and have it ready to go before he leaves. It would make things so much easier. Hmmm I should start looking up some recipes for freezer soups and the like so all I have to do is put it in a pot on the stove and reheat it. Oh well as I said before I have to take this one day at a time.

Yea Erin! I was watching all week and your daily commitment was awesome! If you have a crockpot, that can be a lifesaver. I think it would be hard to eat dinner at 5 and then be good the rest of the night. I would have to have a snack and tend to eat popcorn to help stave off bad snacking like say a box of Trisuits. Enjoy your day of rest from the work out, you deserve it!!
