Busy AM at work but I did get done what I needed to.
No exercise, but that's OK....rest day.
Knew we'd have people staying over. Knew I'd be going to restaurant/bar for supper.
Boat ride to restaurant/bar.
Did not have beer there. Drank water. Ate chicken sandwich, a few of husband's fries (satisfied).
Evening spent at out Tiki Hut on deck. I planned to allow myself 2 beers.
We did a beer tasting. I had bought a six-pack including 6 very different beers (my supermarket offers this mixing 6 pack thing). 4 people sampled 6 different beers and commented on each and evaluated. This was actually a mindful activity and very interesting. Since some of the beers had a little higher alcohol content, this was probably the equivalent of 2 beers for me. Beers didn't trigger any snacking.
Decided to walk 4 miles. While in progress, I decided to walk further to some outside exercise equipment (free, in a park situation). Worked out a little on that and walked home.
Total walking was almost 5 miles. Ate snack then healthy supper.
Watched TV. Turned off a potato chip commercial, the one where this girl is basically ecstatic about eating potato chips and ruins a new manicure with the chips smashed all over them. I mean, how evil can these manufacturers be??
So after conquering that........ then...............I started getting hungry for sweets! Great, I conquer the beer and salty snack issue and now I'm starting to crave sweets. Have to deal with that now? Not sure. Ate "raw" smores!
