4 NO's Saturday in Paradise..Michigan!

Saturday, August 17, 2013

Ah, I just cane back in the cabin after watching the sun rise over Lake Superior. It crests at the shores of Sault Ste. Marie, Canada.
Yesterday DD drove the first three hours including driving over the Mackinac Bridge into St. Ignace,MI. She is afraid of heights, but it was a great experience. Mostly for me. It is the firsttiime I have been bale to actually look out the windows for more than
nanosecond to watch the ships go under the bridge from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan.

We went to the blueberry festival, but nobody had local berries; today we are going back there to take a business man who is a Native American, one of our memory cards with pics of DD's skin from when she had a severe eczema, contact dermatitis flareup.
Then we are off to Oswalds Bear ranch near Newberry. After that we head to the forest to pick huckleberries. I have my can of mace, our picking tool that DD made.
I am not sure if I feel safer if a bear or moose decides to dine where we will be picking. a

Grilling and a bonfire are tonight,, spend the rest of daylight on the beach, in the lake.

We met some people that were here last year at the same time we were. Very nice people..

Pulled up Google maps to see where Paradise is. Not stalking you, just curious.

I'd love to sit and watch the ships from the Mackinac Bridge. Used to sit on the levee in Davenport, IA and watch the barges.

Heard a lot over the years about how beautiful that part of the world is. Enjoying hearing all of your adventures. It's better than those travelogues we used to see.
