I've Turned That Trend Around!

What am I doing differently? I'm eating more raw foods and I've bought some fruit and nut bars (KIND brand, but looking to try others, as well). Filling up on these healthier foods means less need for the junky foods that are wearing me down and fattening me up. :) Now the scale is going down again, instead of up and up. :) After serious thought, I think raw foods were a critical element to my 35-lb weight loss while living in the city, where I had daily access to fresh raw foods. They're also great for increasing energy levels, which I desperately need! I burn a lot of energy, each day, but how to refuel is so very important! :) Just balancing Calories in and Calories out is not always enough. :) The trouble with raw foods is they tend to digest so easily that I was always hungry. The bars help keep me full longer!

    I know how difficult it is to find that balance of calories in, calories out. No plan is a one size fits all so we need to keep tweaking our plans to find what works for us. So happy for you in finding this balance, especially because of you grueling job and odd hours....YOU never gave up. You are very strong and committed to getting healthier.
