I may have found a way to eat chocolate slowly.
I am a dark chocolate fan. I figure it might be like anyone who really likes the taste of alcohol - why water it down, why add to it any cola? In my case, the darker the better. Give me the stuff straight up.
So, I found a bar that makes me eat slowly and curbs my craving quickly. It might sound gross to many of you, but it seems to be working. "Working" means I've eaten 3 parts of it when one serving is 1/2 the bar. I still have half a bar left.
Theo Chili 70% dark chocolate. 1/2 a bar is 210 calories. This means 1 square is 52.5 calories. As one of my friends described her eating a dark chocolate w/chili ice cream, "You enjoy the chocolate, and then it smacks you in the face for having eaten chocolate." I eat this square very slowly (what?!?!?) and taste every bit of it. Then I am DONE, with a happily burning palate, I.am.done.
