Family Reunion 2013

Thursday, August 15, 2013

There's nothing like getting together with new and old family - family you don't know and family you grew up with. My family (on my Dad's side) gathered in Dallas, Texas this year (early August) for two days of socializing and eating. It was fantastic! I belong to a wonderful family. We had the best food (all home made), played games, remembered old times; but, most of all we were reminded of how much we enjoy and love each other. It was REALLY HOT!

Now... a lot of Texas cuisine is quite good to you, but not necessarily good for you AND I did over indulge. Boy, did I! emoticon Reality check happened when I stepped on the scale a few days ago and now, I'm actively working on getting the additional pounds off that was gained during this wonderful time.

I love family reunions. It's just temporary weight gain. It should come off in no time. emoticon
