When we first wake up in the morning and even on the days when we are very tired, we tend to think negative things and look for problems to focus on. That only makes us feel even worse yet it seems when we feel bad, we think bad thoughts. We need to stop waking up in the morning thinking about our problems and stop dwelling on them. We need to start waking up in the morning looking for God and focusing on Him. We need to know His name, search for Him and trust in Him in all things.
Psalm 9:10 “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we search for You today. We seek You so we may better understand Your word, put our trust in You and think better thoughts. We know You never leave us yet we continue to doubt, worry, complain and bicker. Give us the strength we need to trust You today so we are not focusing on the negative things of the world but completely focusing on and trusting You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
When we think bad things, our trust is not in God.
We need to create a new habit of waking up praising God rather than dreading the day.
When we feel bad we tend to think negatively. We need to ask God to help us dwell on and trust Him so our thoughts and actions are glorifying Him.
Taking time to purposely think about God and trust Him will allow us to create new and better habits.
God is all we need to trust in, especially when we are tired, hurting or lonely.
Matthew 11:28 “Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (NLT)
