I'm sure grocery shopping must be exercise

Wednesday, August 14, 2013

Today I did my grocery shopping. I hate shopping, so I do a big shopping at Costco and Winco every 4 or 5 weeks. Then I don't have to go to the store at all, except the fruit and veggie market a couple times a week for fresh stuff. It takes me three to four hours to get to Costco/Winco, do the shopping at both places, and drive home. I parked in the only tiny patch of shade I could find, so I had to push my HEAVY cart a long way (uphill) to put my Costco stuff in the car. Once back home I had to lug all the stuff in and put it away. It's quite a workout. I didn't count it on my fitness tracker, but I'll bet I burned a bunch of extra calories doing that. Which is good, because today was my son's birthday, and we had homemade apple pie, and homemade frozen yogurt. It was very yummy! With riding my stationary bike this morning, Zumba tonight, and all that shopping exercise, I think I could've eaten TWO pieces of pie and been alright!

I bet you could have eaten two pieces, but aren't you glad you didn't? You would have probably felt stuffed instead of satisfied! Yes, you had a great work out doing the grocery shopping and I am exhausted just thinking about pushing that heavy car uphill! Good going!!!!!!

You wore me out just reading this. Shopping is a good calorie burner and I don't enjoy it either, not one little bit.
