Another day, better than yesterday.

Monday, August 12, 2013

Okay, I stayed within my caloric goals today... barely. Some Pringles almost did me in. Anyone ever just crave snack food? Problem is, I do...every single day. Its another thing that I need to work on for myself. I did, however, manage not to over indulge on them. A serving is 16 chips, I had 8 and they were whole grain. So it could have been worse.

I have decided the most important goal for me. I walked with my husband and son to a nearby playground, its only 1.2 miles away (round trip) but I almost didn't make it. I was huffing so bad and sweat was pouring down my face and back. I do NOT care if I lose weight or look thin. My goal is to be able to walk to the playground and play with my son and survive the trip home.

Moving is moving whether it was 1.2 miles, 10 miles, or to the end of the driveway and back. It's about making movement a habit. Some days I do more than others but I try and make it a habit to move. Good job on staying within range and avoiding eating too many pringles. I wish I could do that but I know there are some foods (sweets and pizza) that if I have SOME I will have too much. Blasted trigger foods. So celebrate being able to do that instead of looking at it as giving in you DIDN'T give in! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Keep at it! That is one of the main reasons I'm quitting- I can't breathe- can't keep up with my friends, husband, dog. We CAN do this!
