Well I did it! Part 2

I took my new walker out for a little spin the other day. I used to walk 3 miles every day and loved it. So I took off down the street, across the road, to the park where I used to walk. I used to walk the whole perimeter of the park, across a covered bridge, and up a steep hill in the woods. This time it was a big achievement just to make it to the park. I've been paying for it ever since. Pain in my lower back and groin to where it's hard to sleep but I'm not giving up. Just maybe putting it on hold for a few weeks. My first grandchild is due in 2 1/2 weeks and I don't want to be laid up when I get the phone call. I have to be able to drive a 100 miles for the birth and then do it again when Daddy goes back to work to help Mommy and the new baby girl out. Nothing can come in the way of that. But then I will get back to it. It felt so good to actually be out and walking and I know I will get stronger the more that I do it.

Part 3 of Well I did it? I started back on Sparkpeople last Wednesday and weighed this morning. I always used to weigh Monday mornings. It's just easier to remember. I'm down 3.2 pounds in less than a week. What an incentive to keep on going.
