A quick catch-up!

It feels like FOREVER since I've had the time to write a real blog. I really miss it.

Hubby is doing better. The staples are out and he's been more or less "released" for normal activities. He still has pain, and that concerns me. However, I have to accept what the doctor says - he is recovering well.

I'm getting back on track with my exercise. I've been getting my steps in and even did the Dunes today. Been back to walking the dogs daily since my SparkRadio interview. They are SOO much happier. I'm feeling it a bit in my legs and back.

Some things never change - I'm still having difficulty with ST. I really need to build my muscle tissue but I just have no desire to do ST. It is just so boring!

Stress at work is still over the top. I haven't had time to work on my resume yet but I'm going to do it. I need to get the heck out of my current job situation.

So that's what's been going on here. I really want to get back to my motivational quote blogs. They really help me and I hope they help you too. More soon!

    glad to hear he's better, I hope the pain will disappear soon . good luck with finding a new better job. I like ST emoticon I'm doing both cardio and ST (what I can) while watching my favorite anime and I mix like 5 minutes cardio , 1 ST exercise and change them all the time. that way I 'm not bored and my body doesn't get used to anything

    I too am a huge fan of Fitness Blender! Interesting ST, some moves I've never seen before! Of course I use "seen" hypothetically! Glad your husband is doing better. Again, you can imagine why he has pain! He pretty much literally had his guts torn open and it all has to heal and his core does alot of work even when not engaged in a real active stance! Glad you are back on the road to fitness! Find a new job and quick! Sending you positive job finding vibes!

    That is great that your husband is recovering well!

    It sounds like thinks are taking shape for you in your life, except the job, make the change ASAP to help the stress situation.

    I am glad that DH is recovering well. Now if we can only get you back on the right track! I know that ST can seem boring at times, but you can make it better, make it a game!

    It's good to hear from you! Glad to hear that your hubby is healing. He might be in some pain still but that's not unusual after an operation. When you get older healing takes longer. It sounds like he's doing well though. Just have patience and trust that the doctor knows what he's talking about.

    I understand that you think ST is boring. I use to think that too! I have some DVD's that I can copy and send to you if you think you'd use them? I have a lot going on right now though so I wouldn't be able to send them to you for at least a month. If you'd be interested though send me a spark mail.

    Great job on getting back to walking the girls every day! WOOHOO! Are you stretching before and after you walk?? If not, you really need to be. Most people underestimate how much stretching does for you.

    Sorry to hear that work is still not good. I hope you can find the time soon to update your resume!

    I agree, ST can be boring but the rewards are enormous. I've started doing ST between posts on the computer or during commercials if I'm watching TV (don't do that much anymore). If you only want to do a couple of ST exercises, go for the large muscle groups. Start out with bridges, squats, & crunches (I do crunches on an anti burst ball because it is easier on my back).

    Great job on getting back on track with your exercise and walking the dogs. That is the best stress relief available - in my opinion.

    Well, glad DH got the staples out. It takes awhile for that pain to go away. I recall when my DH had his hernia surgery it was about a month (of course, have to remember that everyone is different). Hoping he's at least more comfortable.

    ST -- I switch off using light weights, resistance band, so I don't get bored.

    So happy to hear you walked @ your beloved Dunes. Hope that perked you up! Sounds like it did. emoticon

    Glad hubby is doing better. I'm sure it will be a long time before he is totally himself again. Hope he takes baby steps too !!

    Glad to hear that you have been able to get back to your routine with the dogs.
    I bet they really missed it.

    I had to laugh that you think ST is boring. I find my cardio more boing than I do my ST ~ of course I'm at the gym with other people, but we do our own things. I usually have my music on throughout my entire routine. I do get bored without my music.
    You keep at it. emoticon

    Get going on that resume, so you can find something with less stress. You need to do something that you truly love, then even with some stress, you can handle it. You are an amazing lady. emoticon

    I do ST with my friends at the gym. It makes is so much more fun when you have a buddy. If you do ST at home, have a ST party & put on some great music while you do it. emoticon

    Glad to hear that the hubs is on the mend and that you are enjoying walks with your girls. I've been enjoying a lot of walking lately too.

    Have you heard of the site Fitness Blender? They have a ton of videos (all free) with lots and lots of ST (some with equipment, some with just body weight as resistance). There is so much variety that it helps me with the boredom. I also like that there is no cutesy music or chitchat. Just straight up workin' out.
