So it's eleven days since my last post. Updating my health issues here so I can keep tabs.
Stomach: The ulcer med is working. I got the script filled. However, with this I've gained a couple of pounds back. Not worrying about it though, especially since I'm leaving for a two-week vacation in six days. Will do my best to eat clean and not make myself ill and deal with the aftermath weight-wise when I get home. I'm still having some IBS issues, but the gnawing pain is gone, which was the probably the most disconcerting part.
Rib strain: Not doing so well there. It feels like I've got some deep bruises. The massage therapist is helping with these issues, but it's slow to improve. Plus I'm trying to declutter our house in anticipation of moving to a small place next year, and we were working in the garage last weekend, and I overdid it. One step forward, two steps back. At least when it comes to this rib strain. It's really, really frustrating. I want to get back to working out, but I can't until the ribs heal, and it's just going to take some time. I've scaled back our cruise excursions as a result of this stupid situation, which I'm a bit sad about, but we'll still see some kick-ass stuff while we're in Alaska.
Overall, except for the frustration at my body not playing nice, I'm doing okay. Though once we get back from the cruise, I need to start working out again...the personal trainer is waiting. I only have eight months left until the wedding...I'd like to be able to not have to alter my wedding dress. However, to do that, I need to lose 10-15 more pounds and about five inches in strategic places. :P I have time; I just hope my body cooperates. I'm sitting the more strenuous things out now in the hope that I'll be able to work out like I need to soon.
