When we are not active in something, we lose it quickly. When we stop working out, we can tell by how we feel. When we stop being active in the community, we lose some relationship time with others. When we stop being active in church and in our prayer life, we lose the connections with other believers and with God. God wants us to stay active for Him. If we don’t know what that means, then we need to go to Him and ask. We need to trust Him and begin being active today.
Ecclesiastes 11:6 “Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we know You want us to be active for You every day. It begins with prayer. It begins with reading Your word. It begins with quiet time alone with You. From there You will show us what to do. We know when we stay active for You in all areas of our lives, You will lead us to the place You want us to go for You. Show our minds, our hands, our feet and our hearts how to stay active for You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
It is useless to trust God and then not take the action He wants us to take.
Doing things for God and staying busy for Him will lead us to the place He wants us to go.
Staying active in God’s word and keeping busy doing His will is what we are called to do.
We can’t do what God wants us to do if we don’t go to Him and ask what it is He wants.
When we are not active for God, we are active for the things of the world.
Trust is about believing in God, following His path and taking the actions He asks us to take.
Isaiah 48:17 “This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.” (NLT)
