I love writing morning pages. It allows to me to mull over the day, kick out the cobwebs and like yesterday have a transformation in my way of thinking! Brilliance brewing, like a cup of tea. When you drink tea, it is savored, lingered over...sip after sip. What if, I thought about exercise like I think about tea? Instead of thinking I don't have 30 minutes to exercise, what if I used exercise as a practice for meditation? Small amounts of meditation that will add up at the end of the week producing a consistent practice. I may be on to something here, start out small, don't worry about it so much, just practice, just enjoy it, look forward to that time spent with me. I have been on vacation this week, I have been practicing/walking on this bridge each morning and evening. Zen begins fill my soul, as I walked I started to look at things differently. I know I am not at my ideal weight so what could I do differently that would help me out with releasing pounds? You know that old saying...if you do what you have always done, you get the same results? I have always equated that with my food...journaling, what I eat, etc....Then it hit me...Now, I know what you thinking if you are actually reading this...this gal does not know how to write a coherent thought...but remember, I told you these are my morning pages for today(hence the Title)...random thoughts all over the place...try it, you may like it:)
I am a firm believer that God will give you what you need when you need it. I got an email from Samovar tea yesterday that talked about exercise....Really? That is just plain awesome...We have an AWESOME God! Can I hear an Amen?
I feel blessed. I am loving this zen state of mind. Embroidery. Squirrel...shiny...LOL. I have discovered that embroidery is a zen producer for me...who knew? I have been dabbling with Zentangles for some time now, I never thought I could draw, now I know I can't, but I have produced some very pretty tangles on paper. But the real zenness..is that even a word?...did not start for me until I had thread and material in my hand. Then I knew what all the fuss was about over Zentangles. I enjoyed it before, but with my wooden embroidery hoop from Germany in hand and the colored threads...THAT is where it is at for me. I purchased 17 balls of Egyptian cotton thread yesterday, oh the colors are to die for, so vibrant, so soft. I can hardly wait to start a new piece! I am very international with my embroidering tools:) The right tools can enhance your practice. Ha! another practice. I just love it when you say something and you think BINGO...now that is what I am talking about!
I am open to thinking in a new way. How many times did we hear Des say that on the Bachelorette? I am open. She did find love...I had picked Chris out from the get go. Why is it that others can see what you can not. I am thankful that God is guiding my journey. I bet He is glad that I GOT IT after all these years of fighting with myself. I just needed to think about my practice from a different point of view.
Morning pages complete, random thoughts put together:) Have a blessed day.
