Make your own lip $$$$

Thursday, August 08, 2013

emoticon I was desperately searching the Internet looking for a lip plumper that actually worked. I had wasted way too much $ on a product called "City Lips" that did nothing for me except made my lips dry. i dont really have thin lips (like the rest of me..LOL) so collegan injections would be a waste of money for sure. Al;l I wanted was some plumping of my lips for a more youthful appearance and to get back that nice flush your lips have before you hit 35. I have found a few products I am considering buying but I also came across several DIY homemade lip plumpers so I tried a few and they actually do work. the combo of ingredients/amount is up to the individual but the basic items used are a combination of cayenne pepper,cinnam0n extract/oil,and if you want wintergreen extract or spperamint. You mix this in with a basic clear lip balm (like carmex,BurtsBees,Vaseline lip treatment, etc. Mix well, and apply the balm to your lips (making sure you use a Qtip,or makeup brush so you dont touch your skin). Let sit for about 10 minutes then wipe off. The amount of heat is up to you,and be sure to wash your hands afterwards, and dont whatever you do touch your eyes. I've fund that this mixture works almost as good as the high rated lip plumpers..maybe even better. Once you get used to the tingling, you can increase the amount of pepper/cinnamon in your next batch. The results happen with in an hour and last for 2-3 hours per application. If you do this 3-4 times a day it should last all day/night. It sure is a cost effective way to do this is you dont mind slight burning/tingling sensation on your lips which most of the products do anyway. And if you get tolerant to it,or it's not working as well...just increase the amount of the ingredients.. emoticon
