When we feel trapped, we begin looking for ways out. We start to think about what we can do to be free again. We may be trapped in a relationship or in a job. We could be trapped financially or trapped in our health. Being trapped may feel like we are limited to what we can do but it doesn’t mean we can’t do something. We can. We can trust God. When we feel trapped, God should be first on our list in looking for answers. We could be afraid of what others may think or do if we go to God instead of them. However, trusting in God when we are trapped will lead to freedom and peace in the midst of a storm.
Proverbs 29:25 “Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the LORD means safety.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, thank You for the freedom You can give us when we feel trapped. There are times when we feel as if there is nowhere to go and no one to turn to on earth. We are so grateful You are ready and willing to help us when we feel trapped. Show us the direction we need to go and allow us to experience the freedom, the joy and the peace You have available for us even in the midst of the trap. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Feeling trapped means we are not giving our lives to God.
We can’t feel trapped in our lives and trust God at the same time.
Trusting in God when we are trapped will lead to freedom and peace in the midst of a storm.
Knowing God is ready and able to help us should remind us to go to Him when we feel trapped in our lives.
All situations are not going to be good ones so we need to prepare now for the next time we feel trapped knowing God is able to free us from all things.
Psalm 124:7-8 “We escaped like a bird from a hunter’s trap. The trap is broken, and we are free! Our help is from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” (NLT)
