So hubby took the dog for a walk and I went along for the first time on my bike and actually rode for 35 min the first day, and 2- 35 min trips the 2nd day, getting better each day, I am thrilled! For someone who avoided all kinds of exercise and movement, this was a big acheivement and quite a surprise!..I now look forward to my rides each day..Along with logging every morsel that goes into my mouth, portion control and eating healthier, I am on the right track now.. So looking forward to getting out of the 300's,which is not too far away. After my cancer surgery in 2009 I weighed 369,... 200 lbs more then the day I got married..
but I lost some weight on my own and hen 3 weeks ago came back to sparkpeople at 338 lbs..My favorite quote" if it is to be.. It's up to me.. and not it is up to me to do this For ME.. emoticon

    Jill313, thanks for the kudos and encouragement.. I feel I am really on the right track this time and I am setting little mini goals instead of looking at the whole picture. No, I have not read either book, I will have to get them, I need all the inspiration and help I can get..

    Hi Carol, I am so happy that your using your New Bike to get back to exercising. It does sound like fun as I loved riding a bike in my youth. You should be so proud of yourself as making changes can be difficult so good for You!! You're going to have many years of enjoyment on your new Bike!! So happy you joined our Team as I think you'll come to really like it like I do. Have you read the book, "The Spark" or the newest one, "The Spark Solution". I still re-read the first Spark book as it's always motivates me to try harder. Take one day at a time and do the best you can.
