Today was weigh-in day, and I reached my goal! I weigh 145.2 pounds. It feels awesome to know that I am 15 pounds lighter than my highest-ever weight... I am positive that I'm never going to return to that point! I realized this morning that when I focus on the process itself of losing weight, it can be rather enjoyable.

The idea of losing weight is usually regarded as a chore, but if you focus on the positive aspects of the entire journey, it can be exciting. It's almost like playing a game- You're working hard in certain challenges/quests (workouts) and selecting the best moves/strategies to win (healthy meals), and if you play hard and persistently, you get an amazing prize. The anticipation of seeing your progress on the scale each week makes it even more like an ongoing competition to become a better version of yourself.

My goal for this week is to work out harder than I ever have before. I'm moving up to Level 2 in the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred video, which I know will be tough. As far as the workouts from Bob, my biggest challenge is maintaining my form throughout the entire workout sequence. I also am determined to follow my diet to the letter. Last week, I had a day where I didn't eat that well. But it wasn't worth it, and I know that the more progress I get under my belt, the less I'll enjoy sabotaging my own health.

Onwards and upwards! Here's to a healthy day, week, and life.
