I know it's been a while since I've blogged but here I am. I have this problem with my weight being stuck in the 280's. My husband has been depressed & losing his motivation which means I'm losing mine too. Seems like when I join a team on here I feel lost cause I unusually don't know what's going on. Also here lately I feel that I'm not important. The only people that think I matter to is my husband & Muffin. When I go to work I'm just the fat poor girl who runs register that doesn't wear a name tag. I called my Mom yesterday & I said I guess everyone is going to Camden Park (amusement park in wv) & she said yeah. Well I've been wanting to go since they opened this season. I said I guess I can't go cause I probably couldn't ride the rides cause I'm too big. I also said that I don't have much money to go anyway. My Mom then says well you can't go anyway cause you don't have a way to get there & she made me cry. Most people that see me (like customers) doesn't see me smile much. I'm friendly (or try to be) but I don't smile. My life sucks. My life is not interesting at all. I'm a no body to a lot of people & don't forget my looks. I wear glasses (cause I have to), I'm fat & ugly. My support is almost gone. I'm renewing my wedding vows in 38 days & I haven't lost anything. My self esteem is slowly fading. I'm sick of being fat & I try so hard but that doesn't work. I know that no one can lose it for me (trust me I get the messages people saying that & I try to ignore them). I've struggled with my weight my whole life. I was born fat & unfortunately I'll probably die fat.

    Audrey ,
Sorry that your feeling so down hearted and beating yourself up so , but just know your not alone we have all been where you are right now . Good news is this too shall pass : ) And your spark friends do care about you ! it is just that we all get so busy with things we might not get to check in as often as we would like to .
Try setting some little mini goals that will lead you up to your main goal(s) like challenge yourself to lose maybe 1.5 pound(s) a week or exercise every other day rather then everyday so you do not burn yourself out with exercise. Or maybe try increasing your water intake . Then before you know it your will notice changes not only in your body or the number on the scale but how much better your feel. Little changes leads to awesome lifestyle changes as well. And remember even though the numbers on the scale does not reflect weight loss , your clothes can prove other wise . Always remember muscle weighs more and depending on the type exercise you are doing , your maybe building more muscle so that is why the scale is not budging right now. So hang in there it will move in the right direction again soon : )

You need some self-confidence. You are a beautiful woman. Please stop putting yourself down. We all reach plateaus. I'm currently on a plateau myself. I haven't gotten past this weight for months. However, this too will pass. You just need to be patient. Sometimes it just takes a change in the amount of calories you are eating and how much exercise you are doing. I'm still working on figuring out what I need to do to get off this plateau, but I know I will eventually have a change in my weight.

KACAR51 gave you a lot of good suggestions to follow. I want you to know that your friends are here for you. All you have to do is reach out to them and they will be there for you. You can send them an e-mail and let them know you are having problems and they will respond back to you. We want to help you through this. You are a strong woman. You can do this. You have the desire. You may just need someone to hold your hand right now and that's where I come in. I will be there for you. I will give you all the support you need.

Keep your attitude positive. Tell yourself you can do this. I'm sorry about what your mom told you about the park. I can't ride on most of the rides at amusement parks either, but I still like to go. I still have a good time and I wouldn't want someone to say that to me. Your mom was not being very supportive to you. She is not a good support person for you so I wouldn't rely on her to help motivate you. Stick with your SparkFriends who know what you are going through. They will be more supportive to you.

I'm going to stress this one more time. You are a beautiful woman. Please don't put yourself down.

I wish there was something I could say or do to make you feel better. I sure do understand since I've been overweight all my life and am constantly struggling to lose. I have looked at your photos again today and you are a very pretty young lady - especially when you smile. I've read what the previous person posted and that is some good advice. Please don't give up and most importantly, don't give up on yourself. If I lived close, I'd come get you and we'd go to the park together. There are many people who do care.

I wish I had some magic words to say that would make you feel better, but I know that it doesn't work that way! I am sorry that you feel so bad about yourself! I used to be really down on myself, but then I realized that it wasn't helping me at all. I feel that the only way to lose the weight and keep it off is to 1. Like yourself the way you are.(If you don't like yourself, then you won't care enough to make things better!) 2. Try to drink as much water as you can! (I didn't start to lose until I stopped drinking anything but water.!) 3. Eat at least 5 fruits and veggies each day! (I usually eat around 10 each day) 4. Always have a good breakfast. (It helps get your day started and keeps you from being hungry the rest of the day) 5. Exercise at least 10 minutes every day. (I am disabled and I had a really hard time with this one at first. But now, I do my pedaling for 45 minutes or more every day) 6. Log in to Spark People everyday and interact! ( I log in everyday. I read articles and other peoples blogs and leave comments. I send Spark goodies and e-mails. Being involved makes you feel better and know that others are going through the same struggles! 7. Have a positive attitude! ( I was really frustrated when I first started, because I wasn't losing. But I knew that I was doing all the right things. It took a while, but then I started to lose. It is going slowly, but it GOING!)
I have found that when I have a positive attitude and I bring that out in mu blogs, I get a lot of support! People here on SP really want to help each other! I hope that you can be a part of that too! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
