Days 12, 13 and 14 - Changing It Up

I'm two weeks into Spark and I've lost 6 pounds. I completed my dental assisting course and got an A! I'm very proud of myself. Now I wait on the national board to let me know when I can take my x-ray certification exam and I'm good to go.
I decided to change my workout routine. I love long walks but I am recovering from a work related knee injury and my knee isn't loving the pavement. I started Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 yesterday and YOWZERS! I barely got through day one with all modifications for my lack of strength and my knee issue. Woke up this morning and every muscle was sore. I'm diggin' it!
Going on two 4 day vacations with foodies and drinkers this month. I'm excited to go away for the first time in many many years but I'm also a little nervous. I do have a plan on how to enjoy myself without coming back many pounds heavier but I've let myself down before and I don't want to this time. I struggle with balancing fun and food in these situations, especially with people who go to eat and drink.
Luckily my boyfriend is supportive and will help me in terms of time for some exercise. I know I will be the only one doing that! I love to exercise on vacation either by power walking new streets or using different workout equipment. I've done that my whole life. I used to run 6 miles every morning on the islands when we went and loved it. I even made a friend doing it and we ran together. Though at the end he turned out to be a real creep, but the runs were good! LOL
So wish me luck. I leave Monday night. I will post before I go but if you have suggestions I would love to hear them.
