Yoga is the Reason

I don't know if that's true, actually. But I miss it when I don't do it for a few days (this time its been a week) and other things - like running and walking in the morning - start to fall by the wayside as well. Perhaps its just been the week - work has been hard :( this week - but I am ready to yoga it up, run some intervals and walk on some trails.

Today, for lunch I stopped at a Chinese Restaurant in Lakewood. I was excited for some Hot & Sour Soup (seriously, that sh** is good! And so Mushroomy!). I asked if it was made with Beef or Chicken Broth and was disappointed to learn it was. But, she said, she could make any of the other soups vegetarian. Excited again, I ordered the Spinach and Bean Curd Soup, paid the $7.95 with a generous tip and patiently waited for about 15 for the HOT Soup to arrive. I took it out to the Jeep, opened the lid and...what!? is!? THIS!? It's water. Poured over tofu squares. And some Bok Choy (squeaky yay).

Some Soy Sauce, some Sriracha and half a Lime later, I had some (still disappointing) soup. The Moral of this? I must learn hot to make Sweet & Sour Soup and I will be a much happier and much less disappointed vegan person.

ps. I did make some Sweet Potato Chili and it's not disappointing at all. So tomorrow, I won't be in this situation.
