Tuesday of last week, I returned to Canada. Monday of this week, I returned to Spark.
Germany. Was. Phenomenal.
Of course, I gained weight while there. Of course I ate all kinds of unhealthy foods (not entirely my fault: I warned my friend that I need to eat every couple of hours... but I don't know German grocery stores well, so often the only snack foods I could bring with me were fruit, and -- as much as I love fruit -- fruit generally can only keep you going for so long. She teased me about eating a lot of chocolate, but by the time I was able to get somewhere to buy a snack -- or even lunch -- I needed sugar to hit immediately, or I'd hit something else). But the trip was amazing.
As per a certain request, here's the result of my hennaing before the trip (demonstrating my lack of green hair!)
While in Europe I made a surprise (to me) visit to Austria: my friend's family had a summer apartment there, so we stayed near Bad Ishl and wandered there and in St. Wolfgang for a couple of days (any photos with mountains are from there).
While in Nurnberg (sorry guys, can't find the umlaut key!), I went climbing
nevermind to the wedding. It was glorious!
My last day was spent at Nympenberg Palace in Munich
and my final night, at The Tent -- www.the-tent.com
-- who knew it was possible to overnight anywhere in Germany for less than 8 Euro? Not me!
So now I'm working on getting back on track. I've been good this week (well, excluding the little slip-up with Sour Snowboards on Tuesday), but I haven't weighed myself since I got back. I do know that most of my workout gear is feeling tight, which means it's time to use it. A lot :P
No rest for the wicked! Onwards and upwards!
