It's been a while since I posted a blog, and today I just feel in the mood to post something positive!
In 2 weeks, I leave to return to Victoria, my new "home". I've been doing fairly well lately with my eating and exercise, although these past few days have been tough. I'm an emotional eater, and things have been all over the place lately, so I attribute it to that.
But! I'm looking up! Because Victoria British Columbia is like healthy-person central, I feel like I can get into my groove when I get back. It's a very beautiful city, with gorgeous landscaping and sidewalks, which are nice for walking and running. There is an island-wide paved/graved trail called the Galloping Goose which makes Victoria one of the best places in Canada for cycling. They have a nice city-wide community recreation program that is pretty well promoted, and there are tons of vegan/vegetarian/health food restaurants to choose from.
Aside from a couple cheat dates Rey and I have planned for my return (no calories counted in celebration, hehe), he's agreed to help me try to live the best I can. We're going to go for walks/runs as much as possible and do workout dvds together and maybe go swimming at the community pool or the lake. And he's a good cook and we're going to do some meal planning together. I know some of this stuff is repeats of things I've said and done in the past, but hey- "七転び八起き "- "fall seven times, stand up eight", right?
I thought I'd share some photos of my new favourite city and home, to show you guys where I live, and to get myself pumped for the trip home!
