You Get Out Of It What You Put In

I've recommended Sparkpeople to friends and relatives ever since I was introduced to this wonderful website by my daughter. It has puzzled me that many have not even bothered to investigate it and some have said they "tried it and didn't like it". I've been trying to figure out why I've been so successful in losing what I wanted to and gaining so much information and
inspiration that I've maintained my goal weight for so long. It finally dawned on me that you get out of Sparkpeople what you put into it, just like anything you participate in - sports, exercise, family, worship, etc. Those who don't take advantage of the food and exercise trackers by entering their food and exercise daily don't really get the great feedback available. Those who don't read the great articles on health and fitness miss out on lots of valuable advice and information. Those who don't join a team of like-minded people don't get all the support and friendly suggestions that come with membership. I've gotten so much from Sparkpeople, because I've put in the time and effort to log on each day and take advantage of all its great features. emoticon
