TUFF Phase 2 (weeks 5-9) Starts Today

Sunday, July 28, 2013

I can't believe how fast the first four weeks of TUFF (The Ultimate Female named The Ultimate Fitness Focused) went by. This phase of the program will focus on even heavier weights using less reps (6-8) for every 3 sets per exercise.

I am excited today to "officially" report body stats as a whole since starting TUFF on July 1st! I took preliminary stats on Friday but should have waited at least 48 hrs for my body to adjust (swelling of muscles to decrease).

I've lost 2 lbs so far, decreased body fat from 34.1% to 31.7%, lost 4.75 inches in all areas of the body but increased 1/4" in the forearm (must be from that off-setting of weights I I have progressed in the amounts of weights lifted, too.

What is more important to me than weight loss is to see a decrease in Body Fat. This should be the area that is important for women. It is not unusual to maintain weight or even gain when lifing heavy but still decrease your body's fat composition. It means you are leaning out...muscle replacing PLEASE focus on measuring and calculating your body fat.

Happy dancing today!

Thanks for all the support and will report back once this phase is done.

Wow! Pam that is so awesome. I need to lose in my abdomen so bad. I am gaining an inch in my thighs from doing Qigong and that is strange. I don't need that. they are big enough. Sometimes I feel like an elephant took my legs and gave me hers.
If they weren't smaller at the bottom I would go looking for that sucker and get them back.

I'm with you on the happy dance! emoticon

Way to go on your progress! And I agree with you 100% that we should be more focused on the decrease in body fat % rather than weight loss. That's what I'm trying to focus on now!

Do keep posting your progress! Looking forward to reading more! emoticon Hope you have a fabulous Sunday!
