Well, I did not start the day at the gym as planned. I could tell the knee was just not up to it so I changed the alarm and slept for an extra 45 minutes instead before heading out to pick up our fruits & veggies from Bountiful Basket. I was disappointed, but knew for today it was the right choice. I got a couple errands done and then came home and the leg felt better so decided to try Wii Fit as mowing the lawn was out. (The sprinklers were running when I got home so I guess dh decided we weren't bothering today!) After lunch the hubby and I spontaneously decided to go see the newest Star Trek movie at the cheap theater which meant leaving the kiddos home. They did great and we enjoyed our "date" very much. I had put a crockpot of veggie soup on first thing which allowed me a day out of the kitchen which I loved.
Tomorrow: church, lunch and then off to the county fair. Hoping to take Maegann back in the evening for The Afters concert. Will depend on whether we have to pay entrance to the fair a second time or not.
5% Challenge - Team Daisy: We're off and running for another 8 weeks! I got some fitness minutes in although not the full 120 and the water intake piece was easy especially with these triple digit temps we're still having. Go Daisies!
Wii Fit: Besides taking about 10-15 min. to get the Body Test done I put in 30 minutes doing yoga, strength training and cardio. The knee cooperated much better without the twists!
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me. Philippians 4:13
One thought that has the power to transform your life is simple. "I can do whatever I need to do in life through Christ." In other words, I can handle whatever life hands me. I wonder--do you believe you can do whatever you need to do in life? Or are there cerrain things that trigger dread, fear, or cause you to say, "I could never do that!" when you think about them?
The secret to being able to do what we need to do is realizing that we cannot do it alone; we can only do it in Christ.
What in your life do you need to begin to believe you can do? Remember, you can do ALL things IN CHRIST. You can trust Him to empower you to do anything He asks you to do.
