i have been going to the gym regularly, not 3 days every week, but definitely every weekend. i am mostly swimming laps at this time. that's fine by me. 40 extra lbs to carry around is hard on the lower back, especially since I sit all day at work. I have been getting lower back pain more often in the past month or so. i know it's mostly because i am not moving enough. so, i stand up at my desk and try to do stretches. without being TOO obvious. lol.
i did something today, NSV, that i am VERY proud of. I am a member of various groups on, one of which is GNO (Girl's Night Out). it is a group of women, various ages and lives, that get together for different things (walks, eating out, etc). tonight is couples night (VERY rare meetup) and it is @ the Melting Pot. I have never been to that restaurant and want to go. however, DH really doesn't have any interest in going. so, i would have had to MAKE him go. those of you that are married probably understand FORCING your significant other to go places he/she doesn't want to. neither of you will have any fun. and besides that, we would have spent at least $100 for dinner and drinks. I already did that once in my married life, and the food wasn't fantastic. so, i cancelled us going with that group.
instead, we are getting pizza and alcohol from a local business and taking it home to eat for dinner. we will spend MAYBE $30. savings of $70+ right there. LMAO.
so, i am making better decisions regarding food and drink and $$$.

I am SO proud of me and my accomplishments thus far. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
