I had energy this morning! Was so excited to not wake up dragging! As Maegann had hurt her arm Thursday night I had to milk the goats and feed her baby calf. She assisted, but she really can't do all that right now until the soreness eases. Afterwards we had breakfast and then I got busy on some much needed food prep and house cleaning. I took a trip to the grocery store as I needed celery and avocados and decided to stop at the gym and talk with the manager about what to avoid around there for the knee and lower back. She wasn't there. Oh well! Crashed about 2 so took a nap and haven't had a lot of steam since.

Tomorrow I fully intend to get my old routine going again so will go to the gym prior to picking up my Bountiful Basket. May need to mow the lawn with the push mower as I used to do as the rider is needing a part. Will depend on my energy level and knee whether I tackle it tomorrow or wait until Tues/Wed mornings.

5% Challenge - Team Daisy: Tomorrow is the first day of the challenge. Ready to get started! Our extra challenge for the week is to make sure we get plenty of water. This will be an easy one for me especially now as I've been drinking a lot more than usual with the detox I'm doing for my liver. Go Daisies!

    I thought that I wasn't going to possibly get 8 glasses in me considering I was one of those people who never drank water, ever. I found that if I cut out the coffee and diet soda and whatever other calorie free drinks I was consuming and drank water instead it was much easier. Tried it out yesterday just to see if I could do it and I ended my day with 14 cups of water!! Wowza! Only thing I didn't like was going to the bathroom numerous times during the night.

    I hope you can find some good exercises to do. I think I need to do some food prep today for next week. This diet is going to be a little bit more prep than i am use to!

    Walking is great for knees as is biking. Ellyptical can be too much stress. Also, avoid the knee extension machine

    I do know when my pastor had knee problems, that his doctor said don't do the elliptical. I don't know what else.
