can't celebrate just yet - but optimistic

a child is always a child - even when they are all grown up. so my daughter is coming along. unfortunately most of the 'this doesn't happen very often' has happened to her.
starting with a much too early release from hospital - she developed a horrendous infection within two days of being home. back to hospital only to find the incision had to be opened again. when it was - FOUR quarts of infectious liquid gushed out.
she was started on 10 days , 24 hours IV pumped antibiotics. she was sent home which upset me very much . we had to argue for home care - finally they conceded was certainly absolutely necessary for her.
we will skip all the problems and woes that went along with faulty pumps, iv's popping out, backing up and inadequate dressings etc.
now we come to the crucial healing process and due to the very deep wounds is not going as it should. this will mean drains and a 24 hour pump to flush OUT what should not be there.
her recovery is set back by at least three to four weeks - and this is hard on her financially as well as wanting to get back to work.
but all things happen for a reason - and i believe she is headed now in the right direction. i pray to the Lord. we all go through stuff and somehow we come out the other side in tact.
just hope my weary bones keep me going = since the heat wave is over i think we all feel livelier.
take care all - thanks again for caring, sharing and being there.
