Day 116 - Working 13 Hours

Thursday, July 25, 2013

I am working 13 hours and taking it easy. At the day program, we took 10 clients to see the movie, Turbo. Cute and predictable. Afterwards, I went to the last 20 minutes of my LCSW group supervision.

I was told by two members that the man who interviewed me for a Behavioral Health position a week and a half ago was on vacation and he just got back yesterday. Maybe that is why I have not heard of anything regarding my interview. Earlier this week, I left a voice message and an I know why... So, HOPEFULLY, I will HEAR SOMETHING about getting this job!

It is downtime here at work with the clients finishing up dinner. I decided to eat what they were having, raviolis stuffed with cheese. It was good.

I took my blood pressure this morning and it was slightly high. This afternoon, I took it again and it was low. Something like 98/56... I feel fine though... I will take it again soon.

Well, off my break now and ready to clean up the kitchen...

Don't get discouraged. I'm not sure about your industry, but I know in my industry it's not unheard of to go weeks, often months after an interview before ever hearing anything.

It's not you - IT IS THEM.

Keep positive and keep looking - you might miss out on something even better.

Wow 98/56 is actually really low....I know because I run low blood adverage it is 99/60 but there have been times when my MS (Multiple Sclerosis) flairs up and the blood pressure drops to something scary like 75/48...that has happened a few times in my life when I have been admitted to the hospital with a relapse of the last 15 years it has not dropped that low....knock on wood it won't do it again.

    Keep monitoring it....
