Noticing the Change

I've been doing really well - days 18, 19 & 20 are under my belt and I see how just a little bit of exercise creates a shift in my thinking. I did 5 minutes of exercise this morning, something really good for myself and then I choose oatmeal for breakfast instead of a fried egg sandwich, then I go for a walk after work and instead of ice cream as an after dinner snack I have mango. It's a pervasive feeling of choosing to do different things throughout my day. Don't get me wrong I do find myself thinking about fried foods and donuts. Eating those things have always been a comfort for me whether I was unhappy or celebrating some achievement I would use food. I struggle with that still but I keep going - it's all day by day.
