Setting goals

I know the importance of setting goals, writing the goals down, and creating opportunities for success to reach those goals. I'm going to keep it real though, I am terrible at following through. It is not just with weight loss goals, it's with most of my life. I always make grand plans, boast to loved ones, and then never ever follow through. Sometimes, it's not even grand plans I follow through on. Recently, my mother had some end tables she no longer wanted, she asked me if Jon would want them. I told Jon I would send him a picture of the tables...that picture never happened. I don't understand myself at all. I set a goal last week for weight loss and I never bothered monitoring my progress.

I know I have a 50 pound weight loss goal, but I feel like I need to break it down. Creating opportunities for success in reaching that goal helps keep motivation flowing. My big question is how to break it down? Do I set new goals each week, month, every other month? Suggestions would be helpful! Thank you loves for being you!
