25 Pounds Down!

It's official! I've lost over 25 pounds since returning to SparkPeople 12 weeks ago!
As I posted yesterday, the scale finally relented and started to move again. As of my official weigh-in this morning, I was down 2.4 pounds for Week 12. This was such a huge relief after my Week 10 and 11 weigh-ins where the scale refused to budge. Hopefully I am well and truly through that plateau!
I want to thank all of you who encouraged and pushed me through those bleak days when it seemed like every blog post was doom and gloom. Your support helped motivate me to keep moving forward and sticking to my plan. I'm now 84 days into My Streak and I am so happy I didn't give up when I really wanted to.
I ended up not making any drastic changes to my plan at all. I just ate more towards the higher end of my calorie range on my non-fast days and I did have one day where I even allowed myself to go slightly over on my calories. This resulted in a weekly deficit much closer to my target of 8600 calories, instead of the nearly 10,000 calorie deficit I'd had the two weeks prior. That small decrease in deficit must have been enough to convince my body I wasn't starving. So I will make a conscious effort to stay closer to my target deficit and not under-eat again.
I now have a realistic chance of winning my DietBets. I have 14 days to lose 3.7 pounds. If my plateau is truly over, that should be no problem at all!
