Do you have a child with mild to moderate anxiety

Monday, July 22, 2013

Hello Moms

I was wondering if you have a child with mild to moderate anxiety. He's afraid of things we find silly such as the vacuum, our box or oscillating fans, toys that talk, sometimes cartoon characters on television and is terrified of strangers. The hard part about this is I planned on starting him at a small daycare. And he's terrified of the lady who's in charge.

She's apparently very good and been doing it along time according to references but she watches 8 children. Does that seem like too many?

Joey had a bad first visit. We were there alone after hours and I had to change his diaper, I put him on the table and he had a screaming fit. Don't know why and after that, he would not let me put him down.

I need to start working soon and I don't want to make his issues worse by making him feel abandoned. He's a year and a half. Will it be good for him?

I don't know. Help!

I think every kid is friend has her lil girl in day care..she's been in day care since she was 3 months old and is thriving (now is 7 months old), but she is not a fussy baby at all.

I wonder how kids have such different little personalities!

Most children go through a phase where they are afraid of objects. My son was afraid of a bank, a decorated coconut my grandparents gave me from Hawaii, a peanut statue. LOL. The coconut was the worst. He called it the "Poconut" and we literally had to lock it on the back porch.

I think one woman with 8 children is too many unless she has helpers. Depending on the age it would not be legal in Illinois.

All children suffer separation anxiety to a certain degree. It's actually harder on the parents and they usually are fine after the parent leaves. It is something they have to work through.
