Every Little Bit Helps!

Days 15, 16 & 17 have been great - I'm getting stronger and feeling less sore so I'm making progress. But I came to a revelation of sorts a couple of days ago. Someone commented that every little bit helps and I realized how right they were. That seems simple enough but it's actually quite profound in weight loss. I've been overweight my entire life and I always have some grand plan involving intricate workouts and extensive eating plans. I charge ahead with all the hope in the world but then after about a week I become frustrated and angry that I can't keep to the schedule or the strict food plan. Basically I overreach and have very unrealistic expectations about weight loss and my life. I'm not going to workout three hours every day, I'm not going to weigh all of my food, I'm not going to eat 100% organic. I've been trying for perfection instead of realism. It's like trying to eat an entire apple whole instead of little bites. So it is all about little bits, here and there and enjoying my life along the way. Simple, yet profound!
