The New Spark Book

I finally received the new Spark book in the mail a few days and ago and I've been eagerly "devouring" it. I finally finished it yesterday and it really motivated me. I was motivated before, but didn't have a concrete plan to follow, but now I do and that's a good thing.

I've been tracking my eating for about 2 weeks now, and it helps me even more than I expected it to. It isn't nearly as time-consuming as I thought it would be.

It's helpful for me to measure things and see what size a "portion" actually is. It also helps me think before I put something in my mouth - do I REALLY want to have to write it down & add it to my total for the day? (Usually I just decide not to eat things, unless I've already planned it or have enough calories left to fit it in easily.)

Yesterday I took the day off of tracking food, but I still paid attention to the portions of food I ate instead of just eating things mindlessly. So I'm making progress - not worrying about losing weight or the numbers on the scale, but I'm definitely making better eating decisions these days!
