This was not the blog that I hoped to write today....

Short and sweet. Monthly weigh-in. THIS was the day that I had hoped to announce that I had FINALLY made it to a normal BMI. It would have taken only a 2 lb loss. Instead, I am UP 2 lbs. I feel frustrated and disappointed and part of me feels as if I will NEVER get below 175. Rationally, I know that it has been as hot and humid as @#$$ here all week and last year when it was like this, there was a gain on the scale, too, despite all my water drinking, but still......

It is what it is. Not much I can do but keep on keeping on.

    I think it's definitely a weather weight gain. One weight loss success story I read said that asparagus is great for getting water weight off. You might try going heavy on the asparagus...at least a day or two before your next weigh in and see if it makes any difference. I plan to try this when I am fighting off the pounds that don't want to budge. Keep up the good work! Thanks for the encouragement! Spark on! emoticon emoticon

    Thanks for checking up on me! No, I was also up. 1.5 pounds. I really hoped I would see a drop, but no. Just we just have to keep plugging away. I hope you don't mind that I have added you as a friend. emoticon emoticon

    Please don't beat yourself up over this. Noone looses weight in a straight descending progression, as you well know. Sometimes it feels like there's no logic at all to how the weight comes off. Our bodies are far more complex than we think they are. I've almost come to believe that weight loss has more to do with managing glycogen levels in our bodies than just calorie intake.

    I think the habits we form along the way are probably more important than the final goal.
    You've already come a long way, had lots of victories. Keep it up, and you'll be there before you know it. emoticon

    Know what you mean. I have been keeping up with the water, food has been about perfect everyday, and have worked out every day. My weigh-in is Monday and I don't feel like it's going to go down or even stat the same! Hang in there! emoticon
