Just another day in Paradise

Today was rather uneventful, but a particularly amazing day as far as staying away from temptation go. I find that the longer I am on a gluten free, dairy free and sugar free kick the less I want those things. We had popcorn in the office today - caramel corn and white chocolate corn. I didnt touch them. At the restaurant in the evening I did not take a single French fry or try a bite of my friend's pasta. I bought Tiramisu for my best friend, and didn't eat a piece. The scent of fresh-baked pizza did nothing for me, but I tore apart the pile of meat on my plate! My dinner was perfect Atkin's: chicken breast, lamb chop, small piece of steak and random meat shish kabob. I drank only half of my near beer, since that stuff tastes way too sweet nowadays, but downed a giant bottle of water. The only food temptation I succumbed to today was a fresh peach... Yum! Now, for the negative... I had a really good leg workout the other day... So good, in fact, that my butt and thighs are sore. My run today was absolutely crappy because of the discomfort. I guess I better go to sleep, tomorrow morning is another chance to run! Good night, all.

Sounds like you had a great day, despite the painful run. And if you had to eat a bit of carb, you can't go wrong with fresh fruit. Way better than some sugary sweet or grains, IMO.

Congrats on your successes! Have a beautiful day tomorrow!

It's great how you lose your cravings for sugar and refined carbs when you get away from them eh! Opps there is my Canadian coming out in me! Some times I miss them and think that it would be good to eat them, but the craving is not really ever there. I do miss fruit - berries especially! In due time I will allow fruit back into my world and be very happy about it.

Bummer that your run was crappy, (no pun intended) and I hope you wake tomorrow with your legs and butt ready to go again.

    Congrats on making good choices!
