The Past, the present… and the Future!

(2007)

The day had finally come, weight in for gym class – Weight training with m. Payne. He was so nice, however somehow just by his name I knew I would suffer (have pain) but regardless he would change my life if I listened and followed his teachings. It was my first initiation to weight training. But like all weight training – there is always a weight in and I’ll NEVER forget that day! I stepped onto that scale at 17 years old and it read 175 LBS, I nearly had a heart attack! I could not stop asking myself how it had gotten to that point...and that’s when everything he said in class proved to be right – I was always eating pasta, potatoes, bread... and in French we call those the “deadly P’s” – Pain! Pâte! et Patate.

That day was a start to my new life. I knew I had to change that and that is when I made my promise to my self – TO NEVER WEIGHT 175LBS EVER AGAIN! On that day I changed everything I started eating healthier and training five to seven days a week and it worked – in a sense! I did lost all my weight and made it to my “healthy” weight approximately 132LBS however by my first year of college (about 2008) I became obsessed! I was training two sometimes 4 hours a day and not eating enough.

(2013)

Now at 23 years old, I know that have always struggled with my weight constantly going up and down and then back up again. But somehow, from that point to now, something happened – life I guess and I gained a good part of the weight back. About seven months ago (November 2013) I happened to come across a private training center in my area (Objectif Santé) and I knew I had to change my way of life... and my weight in was 169LBS and that is when I almost started crying... I had almost gotten myself back to where I was at 17 years old 175LBS and NO WAY was I going to let that happened so I signed myself up and started private training, yoyo once again I lost and I gained however after my training I never went past 159LBS so there’s a 10LBS KNOCKED OFF! Better than nothing right. However my private training has officially ended this week (and can’t afford more) so I am therefore all on my own and that’s why I am on Spark People my friend showed me this site to help me when I was all on my own.

I started Spark People roughly two weeks ago with a weight in of 157LBS – so I lost about 12LBS since I started private training. However with only one small private session in the past two weeks with two week intervals I have been on my own for a little while.
I have been working really hard, trying to change my way of life, working out more trying to schedule my workout alone, it’s a little harder, private it’s all done for you,.. You show up and do what the trainer say’s. My first Weight in on my own is slowly approaching in three days (Monday) and I am terrified! What number will appear this time?
